Luke tries to climb anything he can...he is getting real good on his tippy toes too!  He is very determined when he wants to grab something!

Luke is definitely starting to give the pout lip when he is told "no" now.  I will say, it is VERY hard to keep a straight face when he pulls that one out!  It is the cutest thing...we definitely have to turn our heads to crack a smile!

He is still taking steps, pretty much anytime we don't expect it!  We tried forever yesterday to get it on video...he wants to do it on his own time...lol!  Mr. independent ;)

he absolutely loves it...it comes with a blue and a yellow ball and has different slots they can be stored/ dropped into...he figured out pretty quickly where to put the balls in and were they come out...he is such a little genius! haha!  He took the two balls everywhere today...he crawled around with one in each hand and and would pull himself up and hold them in the air when he decided to take some steps...too funny!

Luke loved his new bath toys!  The easter bunny brought a little star fountain that spins around, lights up and sprays water and a fishy basketball set so he can practice hoopin' it up in the tub!

Just a quick little Luke man update...

Our little guy is starting to take some steps!!!  Last week he actually started and each day he takes a few!  It is so fun to see how proud he is when he walks a little!  I think 6-7 has been the max, but it is pretty darn exciting!!  We always cheer and clap after so when he stops/falls he always smiles and claps too...super cute!  Who knows when everything will click, but it is sure fun watching him try!  I am one pround mommy that's for sure!


I enjoyed another monday off with my boy today!  I am so lucky to at least have one extra day off a week to spend with Lukey!  I absolutely love just being with him!  Have I ever mentioned how in love I am? haha! 

 the laundry basket is always so much fun! lol

fun in the tub~I finally got a no-slip mat for the tub so now Luke can enjoy the whole tub!  He has had a bubble bath the past two nights...pretty fun! 

I think his favorite toy in the tub is still the washcloth ;)

9 month stats :)

Luke had his 9 month check-up today...

It was an easy appt...no shots, just a litte prick in his foot to check for anemia...it showed his iron levels were good.  The doctor said he looked great and he is right on target!  Luke was so cooperative for the nurse and doctor...I of course look like a liar when I say how he won't sit still...lol.  I even got to actually look into his mouth to see that he is getting all 4 of his top teeth in! (I though it was just 2!)  No wonder he has been chewing on me and everything else in sight!

I was also told that Luke is cleared to eat anything we eat...so crazy!  I just stocked up on baby food yesterday (of course) so I will finish it up and give him some big boy food too!  I can't believe its already time!  He will still continue to have his bottles, but by a year he should be on only a sippy cup :)  My little guy is just growing up way toooooo fast!!!

spring break and LUKE IS 9 MONTHS :)

Can't believe Luke is already 9 months old! (I know I say this everytime he is a month older...lol)  He has got to be the most wonderful little gift we could of ever even imagined!  He is totally getting such a personality and is proving to be such a little ham!  Luke is such a happy boy who is full of smiles and giggles!  In case you haven't caught on...Luke has stollen our hearts!!!

We have had a fun last week!  My friend Adrianne and her little man Jamison were visiting from Hawaii...so we had a fun little playdate!

We headed to Florida last Saturday...I was a little nervous to see how Luke was going to handle flying due to the fact that he doesn't really sit still and he would have to be on our laps for over 2 hours, but he did AWESOME!  I don't think we could of asked for him to travel any better!  It definitely has its perks to travel with a baby...he flies for free, you get to cut right to the front of line at security, and you get to board early!  On our way there we had a direct flight...which was super nice~Luke just played around, checked out everything he could on the plane from our laps, and then slept for the last 40 minutes!  On the way home our flight was at 6:40 am so that meant getting Luke up at 4:30 am and we had a layover! (we were super lucky to have adam's grandparents pick us up and take us to the airport!)  Yet again we couldn't have asked for a more a flexible litte guy!  He was such a trooper and became mr. popular of the plane :)  He was flirting with the girl behind us, playing peek-a-boo with the man in our row, and cheesin' at anyone else he could get into contact with!  As a mom it has to be the best feeling when you get off the plane and people say what a good baby Luke is, and others are pointing saying that is that cute baby!  I was a proud momma :)  Then while we were in chicago airport, at our layover, we would walk around and people from our plane would be like "Hi, Luke!" or point out to their friends..."there's Luke"  We actually had someone say they were jealous because they didn't get to sit in the open seat in our row by Luke...haha!  So my fears of everyone being annoyed by the baby on the plane quickly diminished!

We had such a fun trip.  We went to Madeira Beach with our friends Scott, Nicole and their little girl Katelyn.  It was a blast!  Luke loved the beach, ocean, and pool!  It was so wonderful to watch him experience all of the new surroundings!  He didn't totally mind the sand, but after the first day he quickly realized that he didn't like to get it on his hands!  It was definitely nice that Luke and Katelyn had eachother and very nice that we had Nicole and Scott!  The kiddos did so well napping at the beach everyday while we enjoyed relaxing! 

I will say it is always nice to get home and sleep in your own bed :) Luke had a rough night, which was to be expected! He worked us over a little on vacay, but it was back to reality last night ;) Luke has started to show when he is mad now...I think we got a sneak peak at what a tantrum may be like in the future!
